It's Too Late to Regret
Melanie opened her mouth.
She looked blankly at the water surface, her own body covered with a blue cloth. Who could have imagined before yesterday that today she would be covered with a blue cloth.
Did her parents know?
Is it also rushing over now?
Was dad also holding the boarding pass, unconsciously folding it? Did mom cry until she became a tearful person, and did everyone almost faint?
Melanie immediately felt a lump in her throat and regretted it.
It's none of her business how others live their lives. It's inexplicable how two sentences of gossip can ruin one's own life.
Is it really worth it?
Even if they didn't die, just for the sake of challenging each other with "if you have the guts, come here", they really ended up making an appointment to meet in Kansas.
Both of them originally intended to just go to Kansas for fun.
Before leaving, I excitedly told my classmates that I was going to travel to Kansas. I promised to take some beautiful photos and bring back souvenirs for them!
Melanie didn't expect that Chelsea actually came.
Chelsea didn't expect that Melanie would actually come.
Neither of them had expected that this journey would be the end of their lives.
From the comment section, they went on to exchange private messages, hurling insults at each other.
It went from exchanging private messages to exchanging locations.
After meeting, there was actually a chance to have a good conversation, but right from the start, they were unwilling to back down and showed a confrontational attitude. They glared at each other, and when one pointed a finger, the other would curse at them.
The investigator roughly explained the situation to Sun's mother.
Sun's mother collapsed and shouted in despair, "Impossible! My daughter Ying'er never used to argue with anyone!"
"I didn't know about my daughter... She couldn't argue with anyone and was always quiet in her daily life... How could she end up getting into a fight and coming here?"
"My Ying'er, my Ying'er is not like this, my Ying'er..."
The grieving mother held her daughter's lifeless body, crying and wailing.
The onlookers could only sigh a few times, while the rescue personnel remained silent, feeling sad but helpless in their hearts.
They have seen too many rescues over the years where people died due to all sorts of strange reasons.
Outsiders can't offer much comfort either, and in the end, only family members can truly empathize and understand.
Chelsea and Melanie had long forgotten about the "mission" to die again. Melanie stood blankly by the river, while Chelsea continued to follow her own mother.
When both families arrived and met, there were cries and accusations from each side. Eventually, they flipped through the phones of the two individuals and discovered the reasons for their drowning.
Melanie and Chelsea saw their own faces in the funeral parlor.
Everything gradually became clear, just like the path they couldn't return to, gradually becoming clear, but never able to go back again.
With the official announcement, the cause of death of the two individuals was also disclosed. They were eventually cleared on the internet, but what followed was still a lot of arguing and debating in the comments.
They fought over such a trivial matter and ended up killing themselves. How foolish.
Women are indeed all so petty and narrow-minded. It's good that they are dead and finally at peace. Haha!
What does this matter have to do with gender? It's ridiculous! Are men not capable of fighting? How many men have fought and stabbed each other to death, why don't you mention that!
The new round of argument unexpectedly escalated from the unfortunate deaths of two individuals to a gender conflict.
*
Chelsea and Melanie died again, indeed.
Drowned in the rumors.
Both of them found their own faces back.
However, both faces were ashen.
"Let's go, it's time to hit the road," the infatuated ghost said, hunching over with a cane in hand.
"Your lives nowadays, they are just too fast, everything is fast... That's why you argue so easily."
"In the past, we could only communicate by sending letters. It's really frustrating... By the time the letter arrived, the anger had already subsided."
The infatuated ghost shook its head, what is there to say when the era shapes the environment.
Melanie and Chelsea followed the infatuated ghost in a lifeless manner, returning to Yama Palace once again. This time, they kept their heads down and remained silent, truly accepting their fate. They felt regretful and disheartened, knowing that there would be no next time.
"What else do you two have to say?" Susie asked.
Both of them shook their heads.
"The mouth is a weapon that harms others, and words are like a tongue-cutting knife. If someone causes death due to the sin of the tongue, they will have to walk through the hell of tongue extraction before being able to reincarnate. Do you two have any objections?"
The two of them thought, "Isn't it just a disagreement over a few words? To be condemned to hell for such a trivial sin..."
Turning back, I thought about how my own parents had fainted from crying, and the other party's parents were no exception.
Killing each other and then killing oneself... There is nothing more to be said.
"No objections." The two of them said in unison, their expressions gloomy.
Susie nodded and said, "Alright, go ahead!"
She signed the contract.
The two female ghosts each lowered their heads and left.
Susie looked at the "standard answer" in the book...
First Layer of Hell: The Tongue-Pulling Hell.
Anyone in the world who engaged in acts of sowing discord, slandering and harming others, being slick-tongued, skillfully debating, and deceiving others, among other evil deeds, would be sent to this prison after death...
In the past, those who showed disrespect towards spirits and deities, priests, and slandered the teachings of Buddhism were also imprisoned.
Susie stared at the line behind her and suddenly laughed...
