Don't Come Again

Lucy dragged her grandmother through the crowd and threw her out, amidst the astonished gazes of the onlookers.

"Don't come back anymore!" Lucy said loudly. "I really won't be polite to you!"

After saying these words, she turned around and was about to leave.

Everyone was shocked and looked in astonishment at the scene.

What's wrong? What is this...

Christian, who had rushed over upon hearing the news, quickly helped the sobbing Chloe up and reproached, "Miss Lucy, how could you treat your own grandmother like this? She is an elderly woman, and even if she did something wrong, she should not be treated like this!"

"It's not easy for her at this age. She just wanted to see you because she missed you. Why do you have to treat her like this?"

Lucy gritted her teeth and exclaimed loudly, "Is it easier for me to be young then, since she's already old?"

She didn't know how to restrain herself, let alone pretend or consider the impact a little bit. In the eyes of others, she appeared very immature.

The people around finally came to their senses, even more astonished:

"What, is this Miss Lucy? Is this her grandmother?"

"How did she drive her own grandmother away..."

"I don't know what happened, but I feel like no matter what it was, it shouldn't have been done like this. It's just inhumane..."

Some people pointed and gossiped. It was inevitable that everyone frowned upon seeing a child treating an elderly person in such a disrespectful manner, without understanding the situation, and even driving them away while scolding and complaining.

What the unknown is like in its entirety is not to be commented on, but how many people can actually achieve that?

What people always believe in the most is themselves, and what they mostly output is their own biases.

Chloe not only failed to help Lucy explain, but also took advantage of the fact that the passersby were unaware and used their comments to morally blackmail Lucy.

Anyway, she was already kicked out, so what does she need to worry about!

"Lucy...," Chloe cried, "Grandma can't provide you with a wealthy life now, it really can't compare to your grandmother's house..."

"But grandma just came to see you... Why are you treating grandma like this? Grandma's heart hurts so much..."

"Grandma was not capable, so it's normal that you don't like her... Today is your uncle's wedding, don't be angry anymore, Grandma will leave now, right away."

Chloe stood up tremblingly, walked out shakily, and wiped her tears as she walked, looking pitiful.

Sure enough, Christian's sympathy overflowed.

To be honest, even if he didn't have the Holy Ghost above his head, he couldn't just stand by and do nothing.

The old person was so pitiful!

"Please don't go, old lady," Christian grabbed Chloe's arm and supported her. "This is not right."

He looked at Lucy again and sighed helplessly, "Miss Lucy, I hope one day you won't regret your actions today. One should have a conscience. Your grandmother may not have the wealth of the Murray family, but she is your biological grandmother."

"How could you be like this... preferring the rich and despising the poor!"

Christian really didn't want to describe Lucy with such harsh words, but she was really too much.

Lucy's face turned red as she realized that she couldn't argue with this person. She wasn't being materialistic, but she was genuinely worried about her grandmother ruining her uncle's wedding. However, the fact remained that she had indeed driven away her own grandmother.

She was about to argue, "I didn't," but heard a low growl from behind, "Shut up!"

Alana's gaze was sharp and cold as she looked at Christian. "You sure know how to talk, flapping your lips like that. It must be easy for you to say whatever comes to mind, right?"

"You put on a righteous and selfless appearance, overflowing with compassion to the point of almost flooding the fish pond. Are you also quite self-congratulatory, thinking that you are very kind?"

"When the street morally kidnaps a child, it is something that an adult like you can do!"

"I asked you, what will you do if she becomes autistic, depressed, or even attempts suicide in front of so many people? You know nothing and yet you accuse her of favoring the rich and mistreating her own grandmother. Isn't the child pitiful? Will you take responsibility if something happens?"

As soon as Alana appeared, there was a burst of output.

Christian was a bit confused by everything that was being said.

Who am I? Where am I?

He opened his mouth and took a while before he managed to utter a sentence, "Alana, I am also doing this for Miss Lucy's own good. What she is doing is not right..."

Alana interrupted him directly, "You're right? Do you know what happened three years ago? How dare you think you're right?"

Christian was feeling a bit down.

He didn't know what exactly happened three years ago, but he only knew that Lucy's mother did something wrong and ran away, leaving Lucy and her grandmother behind.

The Murray family did indeed forgive and raise Lucy without holding any grudges, but it is also true that Chloe, an elderly person, was left all alone.

"Even if Mrs. Murray made a mistake, it shouldn't have affected this old man... The incident has already passed."

Christian insisted on his own point of view. He wasn't trying to take advantage of the Murray family or anything, he genuinely had a kind heart and felt sorry for the elderly.

Alana sneered, "First of all, Mara has already divorced our David, she is no longer Mrs. Murray!"

"Furthermore, are you sure there was nothing wrong with what you said? The matter has already passed! Let me tell you, there are some things that can never be forgotten!"

Alana's face was icy cold as she stared straight at Christian.
